The launcher and chat bar of your Onboarding and Inbound Q&A agents can now follow a signed-in user from one of your apps to another. Call [`window.handhold.identify()`](/docs/api#identify) with the user's ID on every page where they're signed in, and their open conversation continues wherever they open the agent next, whether in another app, another tab or on another device, until it ends five minutes after they leave.

- **One conversation per user.** A conversation started in one app picks up in the next with the same history. If the user started chatting before your page identified them, the conversation becomes theirs.
- **Guidance carries on.** When an Onboarding agent is guiding a task and a step takes the user to another app or tab, the agent continues with the next step there.
- **Open tabs stay in sync.** Messages and replies appear in every tab where the conversation is open, and closing it in one tab closes it in the others.
- **Signing out.** Call `window.handhold.reset()` when a user signs out without the page reloading. The agent closes their conversation, keeps it for their next sign-in until it ends five minutes after they leave, and continues for the next visitor.
