Programmatic triggers can now open your Onboarding agent only once for each visitor. Turn on **Fire only once per visitor** when editing a "Trigger from your code" trigger. After the trigger has opened the agent for a visitor, your code's later calls for that visitor are ignored, including in other tabs and on later visits.

This suits announcements: call the trigger whenever a visitor reaches a new feature, and each visitor sees the walkthrough once without you keeping track of who has seen it. Identified visitors are recognised across devices. See [programmatic triggers](/docs/api#launch-programmatic-triggers) for the details.
